Tortorella gives riveting press conference about state of the Flyers
In a rare but passionate plea to the Flyers media, head coach John Tortorella left his emotions on his sleeve well he explained in a riveting press conference about the state of his team and why they are not able to take the next step at the end of the season.
Torts has had a fire brand style of coaching since the day he entered the league so many years ago. Well known for his preseason drills, pushing players to the limit along with their buttons as he tries to milk as much hockey out of them as possible while making them better Has never gone away as the years have chipped away.
The 65-year-old head coach explained to the media that he feels his way is the best way to get the team where it is, and the Flyers are currently still in a playoff spot which was not supposed to happen during this season.
The team was pegged to be another lottery pick but it became clear the players, the staff and Torts got everyone together and they bought in to the idea of how he has a vision in how hockey is played.

With six games remaining in the season, the Flyers will be on the road to take on the Sabres when they play on March 5th. Game time will be 7:00 PM eastern.
