Artemi Panarin Is Breaking Ankles In What Has Been A Slow First Period
So far to start the first game of the playoffs between the Rangers and the Capitals has been slow and heavily penalized. Shots favor the Rangers, 7-4. Both teams have gone 0-2 in the power play. But there was a highlight play by Artemi Panarin in this scoreless affair.
Panarin breaks Beck Malenstyn's ankles on the blue line before giving a feed to Mika Zibanejad for a one timer. If only this ankle breaking play led to a goal, the entire Garden would have erupted. Nevertheless, there will be plenty of opportunities in this series, and the rest of the playoffs.
