Jack Hughes stuns many with comments on the Devils trolling the Rangers after trading Kaapo Kakko

On Monday, the New Jersey Devils trolled the New York Rangers, during their 5-0 thrashing of their rivals. The video posted included the draft of Jack Hughes, mocking the departure of Kaapo Kakko.
Devils fans would cheer in the Prudential Center, and Jack Hughes would cheese on the bench while this all occurred.
This was all to poke fun at the Rangers who traded their 2nd overall pick in 2019, Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken.
After the Devils rubbed salt into the Rangers gaping wound, we wouldn't hear more about it, until today.
Jack Hughes himself would make a statement on the video:
«No thoughts,» Hughes said on the Devils' attempt to troll the Rangers. «That's so long ago. I'm really lucky to be a Devil and we have great fans. I love how much they have my back. I look up in the stands and see a million 86 jerseys, so I think this fanbase loves me and I love playing here. It's special, so they have my back.»
The video brought a smile to Hughes' face who jokingly denied that he was amused, but was caught with a big grin on his face.
«I mean I don't think it, no,» Hughes said while smiling. «Unless the camera caught me.»
While he expressed his gratitude for the Devils, there's an air of plausible deniability in his comments above.
Devils fans would continue to embolden the Hudson River Rivalry, as they chanted "Kaapo Kakko" during the 5-0 thrashing.
While the season is still young, the Rangers can turn this ship around if GM Chris Drury manages the assets correctly.
The Rangers themselves will have to dig themselves out of the 16-17-1 hole they're in and literally hold themselves accountable.
Kaapo Kakko was swiftly traded by the New York Rangers after expressing frustration with a recent benching.
