The underperforming team has given GM Chris Drury a mandate to shake up the lineup.
With Jacob Trouba headed to the West Coast to suit up for the Anaheim Ducks, someone will have to take his spot on the 2nd pairing.
On the right side,
Braden Schneider has been elevated to the 2nd pairing as a result of Trouba's trade.
His usual partner is Zac Jones on the bottom pair but will get a look with K'Andre Miller tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
The irony is not lost tonight as Schneider offered kind words to the now, Anaheim Duck Jacob Trouba.
"He's an unbelievable dude. He's the captain and I've looked up to him. I've tried to emulate my game after him."
«He's been a huge help for me to grow here as a player.»
While not all of Trouba's work was seen on the ice, apparently we've still been a benefactor of his work elsewhere, as Braden Schneider has shined this season.
