The New York Rangers have a wealth of depth, thanks to Jonny Brodzinski, they've not missed a beat during regulation play.

Though they're out their regular 3rd-line center, Filip Chytil who was lucky enough this time around not to suffer a concussion.

«I think our doctors do a really good job of protecting the players and making sure that when they come back that they're healthy,» Laviolette said via The New York Post's Mollie Walker. «When that happens, that's when Fil will be available.»

While he's been held out of play, Peter Laviolette said they won't rush him back into the lineup. Which is a good way of making sure Chytil won't be at risk for further injury at this point in his career.

He's already had multiple concussions and last season, the last took him out of the regular lineup for the majority of the year.

Now, there's been an update thanks to the NHL Network's Mollie Walker:

Chytil has been part of one of the Rangers' best lines including linemates Kaapo Kakko, and Will Cuylle.

They have been an excellent line which is sound offensively and defensively.

As an example from the New York Post:

The current line of Kakko, Filip Chytil and Will Cuylle has been one of the most consistently effective trios in the NHL so far this season.

They have not been on the ice for a five-on-five goal against yet, and they led all NHL lines in expected goals for at 4.8 as of Monday afternoon, according to MoneyPuck.com.

While Brodzinski is more than suitable as a fill-in for Chytil while he remains in limbo, for health reasons the Rangers third line deserves more praise than they get.

Chytil returned to the NHL after major injury concerns and proved to the fans and the team he's a reliable producer.

In 15 games this season, he's scored 9 points( 4 G, 5 A) and has a +11 rating on ice.

With hope, we can see Chytil return to the lineup when he's fully recovered.
