During the middle of the 2023-24 season, the Rangers made a trade with the Blue Jackets for Jack Roslovic as they were hoping to see his full potential.

FULL TRADE:

To #CBJ-
2026 conditional 4th round pick (becomes a 3rd if New York makes the Stanley Cup final this season)

To New York Rangers-
Jack Roslovic

The conditions on the Rangers pick came down to if they would make the Stanley Cup Finals or not, but with them being eliminated last night we know know the pick being transferred is the New York Rangers fourth-rounder in 2026.

Draft condition update:

The 2026 4th round pick #NYR sent to #CBJ in the Jack Roslovic trade will NOT upgrade to a 2026 3rd round pick.

Roslovic's performance with the Rangers was decent as he managed to get 8 points in 19 regular season games and then 8 points this the playoffs.

However, by adding Roslovic to the Rangers lineup it wasn't enough for them to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, as the Florida Panthers eliminated them and took the title of the Eastern Conference Champions.
