The New York Rangers could fetch a good return for Centerman Vinnie Troecheck. But in order for a trade to go through, GM Chris Drury would have to convince him to waive his no-trade clause.

GM Chris Drury could pull out all the stops, and move multiple players this season. One of those, who Drury could move and fetch a great return for, would be Center Vinnie Troecheck.

NHL Insider hasn't said whether or not the Rangers have made the center, available but with Drury's fire sale, it's hard to believe anyone is safe anymore.

And with the oncoming cap crunch due to Igor Shesterkin's contract, Troecheck and others could be out the door in order to construct a new team.

Troecheck has a 12-team no-trade clause that becomes 10 in 2025-2026. Perhaps a better year to move him?

Nevertheless, he is part of the current Rangers squad who seems to have given up on themselves, their coach, and the fans.

Troecheck is in year three of his seven-year, $5.62 Million AAV deal, and he will be a pending UFA in 2029.

This season, Troecheck, like other Rangers players has fallen off the radar when it comes to production and has played 35 games this season. While he's only scored 22 points( 10 G, 12 A).

The Vincent Trocheck contract does have a no-move clause in the first three years, but that's not a big deal. It turns into a modified no-trade clause (12 team list) in the fourth year, his age-32 season. The layout of the contract screams «trade me after the 2027 signing bonus is paid,» but in all honesty it can probably be moved beforehand

Could GM Chris Drury find a buyer for Vinnie Troecheck? It seems with how easy he moved Jacob Trouba this should be a no-brainer for him.

But his contract isn't as expensive as Trouba's and has a history of top-six play in the Rangers lineup.

It should be an easy sell, and the Rangers could get pieces to re-tool or flip for assets should Drury decided to make him available.
